This auction event in Chicago was last year.  Remember you don't have to go to most auctions to bid, you can bid by telephone or leave a bid with the auction house by prior arrangement.  At Leslie Hindman, bids may be placed by telephone, by leaving an absentee form, by bidding live during the auction, or on Ebay's Live Auction interactive web site.  For an auction such as this one you also have the option to download a bid form from the website at www.lesliehindman.com and take your time to think about your possible bid. Usually an auction house would advertise a forthcoming vintage couture fashion auction in venues where interested parties might become aware of the auction.  It may well also email former purchasers and sellers and those on its regular newsletter.  So if you want to have regular notice of such auctions you need to sign up at auction houses for newsletter notices. The press notice below details the where, when and what is for sale of this particular auction.  The images are just typical examples of the stock of lots available at a quality vintage fashion auction. They are a selection of items from what is a large number of vintage fashion, costume and retro items all focusing on collectible, desirable, clothing and accessories of an earlier fashion era.
