10 Fashion Trends Set to Make a Comeback this Winter

2022 winter

Trends, like many other things in life, come and go. One season a certain type of pants might be hot property, and the following season those same pants may be lost in obscurity.

The whole reason that trends exist is because of humans’ ability to really love something but then put that love onto the next thing, therefore neglecting their original passion.

Quite an amazing thing happens every now and again, however.

Some styles and trends tend to make a comeback, returning to their time in the limelight. Superdry jackets are an example of an item fading into obscurity and then rising to popularity once again. Here are ten other examples of past trends that are set to make a dazzling comeback this winter. Let’s dive in!

Color Blocking

The days of wearing different colors with each other and it being a cardinal sin are long gone. This winter, the bold and bright colors mixed together are back in a huge way! This trend is all about matching colors that pop to give your outfit the Andy Warhol treatment and help you stand out amongst the neutrals.

Cowgirl Hats

Yes, the cowgirl hat is back and even better than before. With the recent return of the cowboy boot, it was always inevitable that the hat should follow. You can sport a leather beauty-of-a-hat with anything, really.

Try it with a color-blocking outfit, or pair it with a suit of your choosing. It can give your outfit an extra edge and assist in making your Instagram feed stand out.

Green, All the Time

Green is the color of the season! Emerald or lime, the green tones have become the go-to color this winter and are sure to give your look the edge it needs. Try it with a similar color palette, or create your outfit around it with the same kinds of hues.

You'll not go wrong this winter with a green palette outfit.

Denim on Denim on Denim

The reliability of denim over the years has become a mainstay in the fashion industry. It was always a fashionable mistake to wear denim on top of denim, but the trend is slowly making its way into the mainstream fold.

Formerly known as the Canadian tuxedo, this denim-on-denim combo is sure to become a staple amongst fashionistas sooner than later.

Patchwork Pants

Patchwork was a massive trend in the early 2000s, and, surprise, surprise, it’s back! With a fresher take, the medley of well-thought-out patterns makes for a much more complex outfit and look choices, but it can be styled with literally anything.

Sweaters, long coats, and jackets are all excellent choices to pair with them. It’s always best to stick to block colors everywhere else because you want to let your trousers do the talking at the end of the day.

Play around with different styles and combinations and see what works for you. You may find that they may become a staple for your wardrobe.

Pop Color Suits

Whether you want to drown your look in popping color or you want to spice up the classic work ensembles that tend to get overdone, a fashion-forward suit is a brave, bold, and thrilling option.

Choose from a variety of bright and colorful selections, and it will no doubt enhance your aesthetic, whether out on the town or at work.

Sport Luxe

The very cool and sophisticated combination of sportswear and luxury wear is returning with a punch. This trend combines sports attire, such as hoodies and sweatpants, with fancier and more stylish garments like miniskirts and heels.

Dressing for comfort doesn't mean you can't look good! People increasingly realize this fact, and they're looking better because of it.

Knitwear

A winter classic! Whatever your preference is, it's evident that garments like cardigans, sweater dresses, blankets, and statement sweaters in touch-me textures are all over.

These options are locked in for this winter!

Prep Meets Y2K

Gen Z has resurrected the prep school look of the 90s and combined it with hints of Y2K fashion and modern style. The perfect picture of this trend is Troy from High School Musical dressing for a visit to the White House. This style is in, and it doesn't look to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Leather Forever

The use of leather in other garments other than jackets and pants has been rising steadily in the fashion world for a while, and there’s not a better season to rock one of these innovative designs, like a leather skirt or leather top, than in winter!

Conclusion

As winter approaches, there will be some trends that stem the tide of change and others that won't. One thing is for sure, these trends above will be here for a while.
