These costume colouring in pictures reflect the variety of clothes styles girls mostly wore.
Colouring in Pictures of Early C19th Regency Children's Costume 1810 - 1820
The fashion for girls hardly changed, although sleeves showed more fullness as they were gathered into the shoulder and squarer necklines were used more. Hair remained mostly short, but some children wore their hair in a top knot as longer hairstyle developed.
Notice how some of the dresses are getting fuller. Beneath their gowns the children wear pantalettes.
I've studied costume drawings from a book I have dated 1930 and made my own simplified drawings (mainly of girls in costume) but using felt pens. These produce a heavier outline suitable for children to colour in and keep within lines.
