Forum Settings Mission

The mission of this page is to help you get the most out of your Fashion-era Forum membership.

Forums can be great, or they can have one or two annoying settings.  The trouble from my side of the forum is that everyone is different, so that is why I give you choices.  Scroll this page for information on how to get the best from your control panel.

Options include, controlling email notifications of a member's post and controlling admin emails.  If you wish to know when a new topic has been added or someone has replied to your post, check your Email Settings.

How to control your Fashion-era forum email options

Assumptions: You have registered and logged on with your username and password.  If possible view in 1024x768 (or greater) resolution.

Stage1: Click on the 'My Controls' see Diagram 1 (above)

Stage 2 Scroll down, down down to 'Options'

The knack of controlling wanted or unwanted email messages, is to scroll down to the Options Sections.

Match what you see on the left side of your ' My Controls' with diagram 2 on the Left.

What you are looking for are the following settings:

Privacy

□ Hide my email address from other members

□ Send me any updates sent by the board administrator

Board Settings

□ Include a copy of the post when emailing me from a subscribed topic

□ Send a confirmation email when I receive a new private message

□ Enable 'Email Notification' by default?

So this is what that table looks like

You could opt to have a weekly digest or daily email digest using the drop down menu.

Important - Remember to click on the button: Amend my Email Settings - This is in the box beneath the choices for the digest version etc.

More Options

In passing, you may see other options that you may like to experiment with, for example, Personal Profile, Edit Profile.  Or Options, Change Email Address.  Note, there is no 'Purchase Paid Subscription, the Forum is free.
