C20Th Costume History Silhouette Timelines & Stencil Outlines
1900 to 1950
Fashion History

By Pauline Weston Thomas for Fashion-Era.com

There are 300 free costume history line drawings in the main costume Silhouette Section at the top of this table and there are varying numbers of drawings to a page. Some pages have as few as 6 sketches and others as many as 20 sketches. I've studied costume drawings, magazines and fashion plates of the 1900 to 1950 costume era.  Then I've drawn out these simple line drawings highlighting what was typical of each year in fashion history.  If you click on the costume history thumbnails they enlarge into A4 print size.  These fashion sketches are ideal for school, college and amateur dramatic costume use.  Pupils could remodel the pictures by colouring in, producing costume timeline scenes or foundation guides for fabric collage work.
